Student Enrolment and Induction Policy
1- Purpose
This policy outlines the processes and responsibilities for the enrolment and induction of students to ensure that all learners are provided with accurate information, fair access, and a supportive introduction to their training program.
2- Scope
This policy applies to all prospective and enrolled students, staff involved in admissions, trainers/assessors, and administrative personnel.
3- Policy Statement

Ensuring that enrolment processes are transparent, fair, and compliant with regulatory requirements.

Providing a structured induction program to familiarise students with their rights, responsibilities, and available support services.
4- Enrolment Process
1- Pre-Enrolment Information
Prospective students will receive information on course content, entry requirements, duration, fees, assessment methods, support services, and policies.
Students will be advised of their rights and obligations before signing the enrolment agreement.
2- Application and Eligibility
Students complete an application form and provide necessary documentation (e.g., ID, prior qualifications, language and literacy).
Applications are assessed against course entry requirements.
3- Enrolment Agreement
An enrolment agreement/contract is signed, outlining fees, refund policy, code of conduct, and training/assessment arrangements.
Students are issued a confirmation of enrolment.
5- Induction Process
1- Welcome and Orientation
Introduction to IIE, staff, and facilities.
Overview of the training program, timetables, and key contacts.
2-Policies and Procedures
Explanation of student rights, responsibilities, and code of conduct.
Information on complaints, appeals, and academic integrity.
Workplace health and safety guidelines.
3- Support Services
Information about learning support, counselling and language assistance (if required).
4- Learning Resources and Technology
Access to learning platforms, materials, and assessment tools.
Training on how to use online systems (if applicable).
6- Responsibilities
Administration staff: manage applications, maintain accurate records, and issue confirmation of enrolment.
Trainers/Assessors: conduct student induction sessions and provide ongoing support.
Students: provide accurate information, adhere to policies, and engage actively in the induction process.
