Student Conduct Policy
1- Purpose
This policy outlines the expected standards of behavior for students at the IIE and explains how breaches of conduct will be managed. It aims to ensure a safe, respectful, and productive learning environment for all.
2- Scope
This policy applies to all students enrolled in training programs and to all activities conducted under IIE, including on-site, online, and at external training/work placement sites.
3- Policy Statement
IIE is committed to providing an environment that:

4- Student Responsibilities
Students are expected to:
1- Respect and Courtesy

Treat trainers, staff, and fellow students with dignity and respect.

Avoid harassment, bullying, or discrimination.
2- Learning Commitment

Attend and participate in classes regularly and punctually.

Submit assessments honestly and on time, without plagiarism or cheating.
3- Health and Safety

Follow all health, safety, and emergency procedures.

Behave responsibly on training premises and during external activities.
4- Use of Resources

Use equipment, facilities, and technology responsibly.

Refrain from damaging, misusing, or removing property belonging to IIE or others.

5- Professional Behaviour

Communicate respectfully (in person, online, or in writing).

Avoid disruptive, aggressive, or offensive behavior.

Not bring illegal substances, alcohol, or weapons onto training premises.
5- Misconduct
Misconduct includes, but is not limited to:

Harassment, bullying, or discrimination.

Cheating, plagiarism, or other forms of academic dishonesty.

Threatening, abusive, or disruptive behavior.

Theft, vandalism, or misuse of property.

Possession or use of illegal substances or weapons.

Repeated non-compliance with policies or trainer instructions.
6- Consequences of Misconduct
If a student breaches this policy, actions may include:
1- Verbal warning.
2- Written warning.
3- Temporary suspension from training.
4- Cancellation of enrolment.
5- Referral to external authorities if the behavior is unlawful.
The seriousness of the misconduct will determine the level of action taken.
7- Appeals
Students have the right to appeal decisions related to misconduct through the IIE’s Complaints and Appeals Policy.
8- Responsibilities

Students: Comply with this policy at all times.

Trainers/Assessors: Promote positive conduct, address issues promptly, and report serious breaches.

Management/Administration: Investigate misconduct and apply consequences fairly and consistently.
