Student Feedback and Course Evaluation Process
1- Purpose
This process ensures that student feedback and other evaluation methods are systematically recorded, reviewed, and acted upon to maintain the quality and effectiveness of training and assessment services. It also ensures that course objectives and learning outcomes are being achieved.
2- Scope
Applies to all courses, training programs, and assessments delivered by IIE.
3- Policy Statement

Collecting and recording feedback from students and other stakeholders.

Using feedback and evaluation methods to assess course effectiveness.

Ensuring continuous improvement of training and assessment practices.

4- Methods of Collecting Student Feedback
5- End-of-Course Feedback Surveys

Distributed to all students after completion of each course/program.

Covers course content, trainer effectiveness, resources, delivery methods, facilities, and overall satisfaction.
2- Mid-Course Feedback (if applicable)

Optional check-in surveys/interviews to identify issues early.
3- Focus Groups / Informal Discussions

Trainers or administrators may conduct small group discussions with students about learning experience.
4- Online Feedback Tools

Feedback can also be collected via email, Learning Management Systems (LMS), or anonymous online surveys.
5-Student Complaints & Suggestions

Formal and informal complaints and suggestions are also considered as part of evaluation.

5- Other Evaluation Methods

Trainer Self-Evaluation– trainers reflect on course delivery and note improvements.

Assessment Results Analysis– reviewing pass rates, completion rates, and assessment outcomes to confirm objectives are being met.

Employer/Industry Feedback (if relevant)– input on whether graduates are demonstrating expected workplace skills.

Validation and Moderation Sessions– regular reviews of assessment tools and outcomes for alignment with standards.

6- Recording Feedback & Evaluation

Feedback forms and evaluation data are collected and securely stored.

Results are entered into a centralised Student Feedback Register / Continuous Improvement Register.

Trends and recurring issues are documented for follow-up.
7- Accountability & Responsibilities

Trainers/Assessors: Encourage students to complete feedback forms and provide reflections on delivery.

Administration/Student Services: Collect and record feedback data.

Training/Academic Manager: Review feedback, identify themes, and evaluate course objectives.

Compliance Officer: Ensure data is retained, analysed, and acted upon in line with regulatory requirements.

CEO/Director: Approves major changes to courses or delivery based on evaluation outcomes.
8- Using Feedback for Improvement

Feedback is analysed regularly (per course and annually).
-
Identified improvements are documented in the Continuous Improvement Register.

Where issues are identified, an Improvement Action Planis developed (with timelines and responsible staff).

Positive feedback is used to recognise good practice and strengthen what works.

Changes and updates to courses are communicated to staff and students where relevant.
9- Assessing Whether Course Objectives Have Been Met
IIE measures course effectiveness against objectives by:

Comparing learning outcomes with assessment results.

Reviewing completion and progression rates.
-
Analysing student and employer satisfaction data.
-
Evaluating whether course graduates meet industry skill requirements.
