1- Policy Statement
IIE is committed to ensuring the health, safety, and welfare of all staff, learners, visitors, and contractors. We aim to provide a safe learning and working environment that complies with all relevant health and safety legislation
2- Responsibilities
Management: Ensure safe facilities, conduct risk assessments, provide training, and maintain emergency procedures.
Staff & Traners: Follow safety procedures, report hazards/accidents, supervise learners responsibly.
Learners & Visitors: Take reasonable care of their own safety and that of others, follow guidance, and report concerns.
3- Risk Management
Carry out and review risk assessments for classrooms, workshops, IT rooms, and off-site activities.
Ensure equipment is safe and properly maintained.
Provide adequate first aid arrangements.
4- Fire & Emergency Procedures
Fire exits kept clear at all times.
Regular fire drills carried out.
Evacuation routes clearly displayed.
5- Accident & Incident Reporting
All accidents, near misses, and hazards must be reported and recorded.
Investigations will be carried out to prevent recurrence.
6- Training & Information
Staff and learners will receive appropriate health and safety inductions.
Refresher training provided regularly.
