Cancellations Policy

 

 1-  Purpose

This policy outlines the procedures and conditions for cancelling training enrolments or scheduled courses. It ensures fairness, transparency, and compliance with regulatory and contractual obligations.

 2- Scope

 

This policy applies to:

  • All students enrolled in training programs.

  • All courses delivered by IIE.

  • Staff responsible for managing enrolments and training schedules.

 3- Policy Statement

 

IIE is committed to:

  • Providing clear cancellation, withdrawal, and refund conditions to students prior to enrolment.

  • Ensuring cancellations are managed promptly, fairly, and in line with regulatory requirements.

  • Minimizing disruption by rescheduling cancelled courses wherever possible.

 4- Student Cancellations

 1- Withdrawal Prior to Course Commencement

  • Written notice must be provided.

  • Full or partial refund may apply depending on the timeframe (100% refund if more than 10 business days before start date, 50% refund if less than 10 business days, no refund once training has commenced).

 2- Withdrawal After Course Commencement

  • No refund of tuition fees once the course has started, unless exceptional circumstances are approved by management.

  • Students may transfer to a future course (subject to availability and approval).

 3- Non-Attendance

  • Failure to attend without notice will result in forfeiture of fees.

 4- Special Circumstances

  • Consideration may be given for medical emergencies, compassionate grounds, or other extenuating circumstances (evidence required).

 5- Training Centre Cancellations

 1- Course Cancellation by Training Centre

  • IIE reserves the right to cancel or postpone a course due to insufficient enrolments, trainer unavailability, or unforeseen circumstances.

  • Students will be offered:

  • A full refund of fees paid, OR

  • Transfer to an alternative date/course without penalty.

 2- Notification

  • Students will be notified of cancellations or changes as soon as possible (via email, phone, or written communication).

 6- Refunds

  • Refunds will be processed within [X] business days of receiving a written request or confirmation of course cancellation.

  • Refunds are paid using the original payment method unless otherwise agreed.

 7- Responsibilities

  • Administration Staff: Process cancellation requests and refunds.

  • Trainers/Managers: Notify students of course cancellations and support rescheduling.

  • Students: Provide timely written notice of cancellation and comply with policy requirements.

 8- Review

This policy will be reviewed annually to ensure compliance with legislation, funding body requirements, and continuous improvement practices
