1- Policy Statement

IIE is committed to ensuring the health, safety, and welfare of all staff, learners, visitors, and contractors. We aim to provide a safe learning and working environment that complies with all relevant health and safety legislation

2- Responsibilities

  • Management: Ensure safe facilities, conduct risk assessments, provide training, and maintain emergency procedures.

  • Staff & Traners: Follow safety procedures, report hazards/accidents, supervise learners responsibly.

  • Learners & Visitors: Take reasonable care of their own safety and that of others, follow guidance, and report concerns.

 3- Risk Management

  • Carry out and review risk assessments for classrooms, workshops, IT rooms, and off-site activities.

  • Ensure equipment is safe and properly maintained.

  • Provide adequate first aid arrangements.

 4- Fire & Emergency Procedures

  • Fire exits kept clear at all times.

  • Regular fire drills carried out.

  • Evacuation routes clearly displayed.

 

 5- Accident & Incident Reporting

  • All accidents, near misses, and hazards must be reported and recorded.

  • Investigations will be carried out to prevent recurrence.

 6- Training & Information

  • Staff and learners will receive appropriate health and safety inductions.

  • Refresher training provided regularly.

 7- Review

This policy will be reviewed annually or sooner if required by changes in legislation.
