There was an urgent need to offer a professional diploma in life insurance within the framework of the desire of the Insurance Institute in Egypt in cooperation with the Egyptian Insurance Federation to raise the level of workers in companies that practice life insurance activities, as well as brokers, brokers, workers in private insurance funds and all those interested in the life insurance industry from university graduates. and higher institutes to whom the conditions for admission to the diploma are met.
This diploma aims to develop mental skills, provide scientific and practical experiences, and raise the functional efficiency of students in response to the mechanisms of healthy competition between companies operating in the life insurance industry, which will have a positive impact and a direct return on the development, consolidation and prosperity of the life insurance market on the one hand and contribute to increasing savings and development On the other hand, the economic and social aspects of the Egyptian society.
The Insurance Institute in Egypt, in partnership with the Egyptian Insurance Federation and co-sponsors of the program, supervises and monitors this diploma and selects qualified elements from university professors and insurance company experts specialized in teaching and training, and providing appropriate educational aids, as well as choosing multiple assessment methods for both students and teachers to ensure the application of standards Overall quality in performance and then achieving the largest training return for participants and insurance companies.
Scientific and practical goals:
The life insurance diploma consists of four specialized and integrated programs that enable learners to familiarize themselves with the scientific foundations and basic principles on which the life insurance industry is based in the first program, the terms and benefits of life insurance in the second program, the technical and practical aspects of the life insurance industry in the third program, and finally, policies and strategies Marketing and distribution channels for life insurance policies and payments in the fourth program.
After studying these programs, the student should be able to:
1- Learn about the components and mechanisms of the life insurance industry.
2- Understand the types of risks, how to deal with them, manage them, and insure against their losses.
3- It studies the types of life insurance policies.
4- Understand the methods of pricing life insurance and calculating the sports allowance.
5- Learn the characteristics and features of temporary life insurance.
6- Know the types of life insurance with monetary or savings values.
7- Understand the nature of the additional or complementary benefits that can be added to life insurance policies.
8- He understands the terms of individual life insurance policies.
9- Defines the property rights included in life insurance policies.
10 – Understands the methods of payment of life insurance claims and the options available in the policy.
11- Understands life payments and individual retirement programs.
12 – teaches the basics and conditions of life insurance and collective retirement and savings programs.
13- Knows life insurance marketing policies and strategies, the different distribution methods, and the distributors.
14- Understands the practical aspects of life insurance, starting with underwriting, through customer service, investment, claims settlement, and others.
Target audience (students):
The target groups for joining this diploma are as follows:
(1) Workers in public business sector companies and private sector companies that practice life insurance activity in the Egyptian market, in all departments and sections, and at all functional levels.
(2) Workers in Takaful insurance companies that practice life insurance activities in the Egyptian market, in all departments and sections, and at all functional levels.
(3) Brokers, lawyers, workers in life insurance agencies, brokers, and producers who work in life insurance activities.
(4) Workers in private insurance funds and fellowship funds in all institutions.
(5) Graduates of public and private universities and higher institutes who wish to work in the life insurance market, as well as researchers in this field.

Study system and plan:
The duration of study for this diploma is six academic months, including lectures, training programs, seminars, periodic evaluation and written exams at the end of each program as follows:
1. The lectures are once a week (10 am Saturday), two lectures per day.
2. Training programs to get acquainted with the various actual and practical documents and activities in the life insurance industry in the Egyptian market.
3. Workshops and discussion panels between scholars, university professors and experts in insurance companies.
4. Monthly periodic evaluation at the end of each program.
5. Written exams at the end of each program.
Academic content and schedule:
The diploma includes four specialized programs, each containing several topics, as shown below
• At the end of each program, a training day is conducted to get acquainted with the practical aspects of the market and link them to what has been studied in the lectures.
• A workshop is held to exchange opinions between scholars and experts on what has been studied, what is available in the market, and what can be added or developed.
• Then a written exam is held at the end of each program.
First Program: Foundations and Principles of Life Insurance.
The second program: the terms and benefits of life insurance.
The third program: Technical and practical aspects of life insurance.
Fourth Program: Life Insurance Marketing
(1) Theoretical lectures using modern technology for screens and other means and the method of e-learning through communication between students, lecturers, the program director and the administration of the institute.
(2) Practical training at the end of each program through field visits to some insurance companies that are selected by the higher committee supervising the diploma.
(3) Workshops between scholars, professors, and insurance company experts.
(4) Study and evaluation of some practical cases from the reality of the Egyptian market and some developed foreign markets.
periodic evaluation1. Evaluation of learners through monthly periodic tests, discussions in workshops, as well as written examinations that take place at the end of each program.
2. Evaluation of trainers through monthly reports sent by students by e-mail to the website of the Higher Committee supervising the diploma, indicating the extent of the lecturer’s ability to communicate information, method of presentation, method of explanation, discussion and dealing with students.
3. Periodic interviews between the students and the higher committee supervising the diploma to ensure the efficiency of the lecturers and experts and the extent to which the students comprehend the scientific material and respond to the students’ inquiries.
Distribution of grades :
Final written exams 60 marks.
Attending lectures 10 degrees.
Discussions and interaction with the lecturer 10 degrees.
Research paper or projects and periodic exams 20 marks.
Exam questions are drawn up by a selected committee of university professors and insurance company experts who are recognized for their efficiency and integrity.

The duration of the study is six months of theoretical and training studies, subject to attendance every Saturday (two lectures per day).
